“Shop Safe, Eat Local, Love Ingleside" is a poster series launched in the Ingleside neighborhood of San Francisco. The intent of this project is to promote general support of the Ocean Avenue businesses that are open during the COVID-19 public health crisis.
“Shop Safe, Eat Local, Love Ingleside"
The pandemic deeply affected our emotional and practical life. Nevertheless, in this hard time, I had the opportunity - thanks to the increased free time - to daily walk around in my SF neighborhood, Ingleside. It was an incredible occasion to re-discover the beauty of every little corner, observe all the details that in a fast regular lifestyle can remain unnoticed - just to mention El Rey Theatre, the Sundial, dozens of businesses that make a pleasure walking down to Ocean Avenue and fulfill any buyer’s needs.
In this challenging time, it is important, I would say essential, to support our community through a new culture based on mutual trust between business and client. Local activities support the real economy and create value for the whole community and we, as consumers, can secure a future for these merchants by helping them stay afloat during the crisis. Small businesses remain essential to the economic and social fabric of our community and we all must do our part to help them survive. These activities represent the soul and history of our cities, and they are part of each of us."
